Getting to Know Me

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to be doing this and that you stopped by. I introduced myself a little in the sidebar, but you can only fit so many sentences in that little space.

I was recently reading up on another blog and found she was trying something new to reach out and let her readers get to know her better, and she encouraged others to try it. So what better way to start off on my own site? Here we go...

Question 1: How tall are you?

I'm 5'5'. Wish I were just a little taller so I look/feel like I am actually in college though... (Maybe that is why I love wearing heels so much!)

Question 2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?

I wouldn't consider it a "hidden" talent because I performed a little bit at a horse show one time, but I stunt ride occasionally. I don't have a stunt or vaulting saddle, so when I am at home riding Christy I just use my western saddle. I learned to "rough ride" while I was at Culver Military Academy a few summers ago. (Their horses are beautifullll!)

Question 3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?

My biggest blog-related pet peeve is really obscure or busy sites.

Question 4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?

You know that sound when an LCD projector is turned on? Or any super high pitched tone in general? Yeah, that.

Question 5: What’s your favorite song?

Bascially anything by Luke Bryan or Sam Hunt, to be honest. All time favorite is probably Drunk On You or She Get Me High, both by Luke Bryan.

Question 6: What’s your favorite Etsy shop that isn’t yours?

I am not an avid Etsy shopper (yet), I have sadly only purchased once so far. I bought my sorority hat from TheTurnipSeed and I love it! I also am in love with Lilly Pulitzer, so I really like LilJsBoutique.

Question 7: What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?

Netlix or laying out and enjoying the sun.

Question 8: What’s your favorite junk food?

Reece's Cups! I'm actually not a big junk food person though.

Question 9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?

Yesss I love animals. I have three dogs. Roxy is our setter (?) mutt. She's super hairy and cute though. Bo is our German Shepherd. We got an American Bulldog puppy in December and his name is Buddy (original, right?) and he is the sweetest little guy ever. Then there is Daisy and Herald, the cats. I can't forget my two horses, Christy and Bosco! Christy is a 29 yr old Quarter Horse and Bosco is 11. (Longer story on his history... all for another post, another day.)

Question 10: What are your number one favorite nonfiction and fiction books?

{Pass} I love reading but I don't read much anymore... So I'll be cliche and admit The Hunger Games is my favorite series. I'm not sure about nonfiction. Sorry guys.

Question 11: What’s your favorite beauty product?

I tried this new mascara a few months ago by Physician's Formula. You put on the mascara then swipe these little black fuzzies on and it is supposed to help thicken and lengthen your lashes. I haven't noticed a change but I lovvve how thick and full my lashes look while I have it on! So either that mascara, or coconut oil.

Question 12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?

I can never think of embarassing moments when asked! Haha but I will come back to this one when I think of something!

Question 13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Sweet tea! (But not the kind that is only semi-sweet. I mean SWEEEET tea!)

Question 14: What’s your favorite movie?

The Great Gatsby. It is beautiful.

Question 15: What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?

I was kind of a mix between jock and artist. (I miss my sports...)

Question 16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

Georgia, obvi

Question 17: PC or Mac?

Mac all the way!

Question 18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse?

My boyfriend dressed up, full suit and all, and took me out for a fancy dinner a few weeks ago. I felt fabulous and it was so fun.

Question 19: Favorite celebrity?

Tina Fey. She's hilarious.

Question 20: What blogger do you secretly want be best friends with?

That wasn't overly specific so here's the summarized version of who I actually am and what I care about and all those things:

My name is Kate :) I am currently an IU student majoring in psychology. I am a sister of Phi Sigma Sigma. In the future I would like to be an equine therapist, or work with horses in some way. I have a strong passion for photography and horses, so my dream job would be to work for AQHA or some other big association/company/etc in the horse industry as a photographer!

After I finish college I would love to pack up and move to Georgia. (Go dawgs!) I live in Indiana now, but I don't like the cold :( My favorite things are of course all summertime activities. I love floating, swimming, bonfires, riding and showing my two horses, and just about any outdoorsy/summer activity you can think of.
